# FTP

> FTP settings in Transfer.

Use FTP settings to configure advanced FTP options. To change these settings, choose *Transfer* > *Settings*, then click FTP.

| Option                 | Description                                                                             |
| ---------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Allow anonymous logins | Check to allow access by entering *anonymous* or *ftp* as the username and no password. |
| Passive port range     | Specify the port range used for passive (PASV) FTP data connections.                    |

<Warning>
  Enabling **Allow anonymous logins** lets any FTP client access the *root directory* without a username or password. Only enable this on networks you trust.
