# Compare networks

> Compare the capabilities and configuration of two networks in WiFi Explorer Pro 3.

*WiFi Explorer Pro 3* can compare the capabilities and configuration of any two networks. It does so by comparing their advertised information elements field by field, indicating which information elements are identical, which information elements differ, and which information elements are present in one network but not the other.

***

## Select the networks to compare

1. Select two networks from the *Networks Table*.
2. Switch to the *Compare Networks* view.

<Note>
  The *Advanced Details* view becomes the *Compare Networks* view when you select two networks from the *Networks Table*.
</Note>

***

The *Compare Networks* view shows on the left side the union of information elements from the two networks. For each entry, *WiFi Explorer Pro 3* indicates whether the information elements differ (`≠`) or are the same (`✓`). It also shows if the information element is not present in one of the two networks (`𐄂`).

On the right side, the *Compare Networks* view highlights the particular fields where the selected information element differs.

<Note>
  *WiFi Explorer Pro 3* uses the BSSID to identify the networks in the *Compare Networks* view when the networks you're comparing share the same SSID.
</Note>

<Tip>
  In the *Compare Networks* view, select **Hide identical information elements in common** to display only information elements that differ or are present in one network but not the other.
</Tip>
