# General

> General settings in WiFi Explorer Pro 3.

Use General settings to configure the scan sensitivity, signal strength units, appearance, and more. To change these settings, choose *WiFi Explorer Pro 3* > *Settings*, then click General.

| Option                                                   | Description                                                                                                                                             |
| -------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Scan sensitivity                                         | Adjust the scan sensitivity to hide networks with weaker signals.                                                                                       |
| Display signal strength as                               | Choose the units, *dBm* or *%*, to display signal strength and noise measurements.                                                                      |
| Display 100% when signal strength is greater or equal to | Choose the *dBm* value that corresponds to 100% when displaying signal strength and noise measurements as %.                                            |
| Display 0% when signal strength is smaller or equal to   | Choose the *dBm* value that corresponds to 0% when displaying signal strength and noise measurements as %.                                              |
| Delete networks if not seen after                        | Choose the time after which *WiFi Explorer Pro 3* deletes networks no longer found.                                                                     |
| Appearance                                               | Click the pop-up menu, then choose the *WiFi Explorer Pro 3*'s appearance.                                                                              |
| Automatically save scan sessions to                      | Choose to save scan sessions automatically. To select the location for autosave files, click the pop-up menu, then choose the location you want to use. |
| Limit autosave files to                                  | Set the maximum number of autosave files. When *WiFi Explorer Pro 3* reaches the limit, it overwrites older files to save new scan sessions.            |
| Automatically check for updates                          | Choose to automatically check for updates and how often to check.                                                                                       |

<Warning>
  When *WiFi Explorer Pro 3* reaches the **Limit autosave files to** limit, it overwrites the oldest autosave file to save the new scan session. This cannot be undone.
