# Spectrum Analysis

> Spectrum Analysis settings in WiFi Explorer Pro 3.

Use Spectrum Analysis settings to adjust the visualization of RF data when using a spectrum analyzer. To change these settings, choose *WiFi Explorer Pro 3* > *Settings*, then click Spectrum Analysis.

| Option                                | Description                                                                                                                                                                                    |
| ------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| When a spectrum analyzer is connected | Choose what happens when a spectrum analyzer is connected: *Start spectrum analysis automatically*. Spectrum analysis will automatically start when you connect a supported spectrum analyzer. |
| Decay (seconds)                       | Choose a decay window for the average and maximum RF energy level values.                                                                                                                      |
| Averaging window size (seconds)       | Choose the window size for calculating the data displayed in the Density View, as well as the Average and Utilization traces.                                                                  |
| Utilization threshold (dBm)           | Choose the energy level threshold to consider the channel as occupied.                                                                                                                         |
