# The Clients inspector

> Information about clients associated to a network in WiFi Explorer Pro 3.

  Client information is not available when using active scan mode.

A list of the columns available in the *Clients* inspector is shown below:

| Column      | Description                                                                                                                                                                                          |
| ----------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Address     | The MAC address of the associated client.                                                                                                                                                            |
| Annotations | An editable column for custom labels or comments, e.g. "My iPhone".                                                                                                                                  |
| BSSID       | The BSSID of the network the client is associated to.                                                                                                                                                |
| Channel     | The primary channel of the network that the client is associated to.                                                                                                                                 |
| First Seen  | The absolute time at which the client was first found.                                                                                                                                               |
| Last Seen   | The absolute time at which the client was last found.                                                                                                                                                |
| Signal      | The current received signal strength indicator (RSSI) of the client in dBm. *This is the RSSI of the client as measured by the built-in adapter or capture device (external adapter, sensor, etc.)*. |
| Vendor      | The name of the manufacturer of the client, if available.                                                                                                                                            |

Because *WiFi Explorer Pro 3* is hopping between channels when scanning, not all clients might be found, especially if there isn't client activity when *WiFi Explorer Pro 3* is scanning the client's operating channel. However, the longer the scan runs, the higher the probability for *WiFi Explorer Pro 3* to find more clients.

  To achieve higher accuracy in client detection, switch to *Passive Mode - Single Channel* when scanning for networks using your Mac's built-in Wi-Fi adapter and choose the channel of the network you want to monitor or troubleshoot.

The *Networks Table*'s *Clients* column displays the number of associated clients found for each network.
