# Monitor signal quality

> Monitor Wi-Fi signal strength, noise, and quality in WiFi Signal.

*WiFi Signal* monitors the signal strength and noise levels of your network, and estimates the overall signal quality of your wireless connection based on the following criteria:

| Signal-to-Noise Ratio | Signal Quality |
| --------------------- | -------------- |
| Greater than 40 dB    | Excellent      |
| Between 26 and 40 dB  | Good           |
| Between 16 and 25 dB  | Fair           |
| Between 11 and 15 dB  | Poor           |
| Less than 11 dB       | Very Poor      |

If your wireless network is experiencing connectivity and stability issues, make sure SNR is above 25 dB. See [Wi-Fi troubleshooting basics](/troubleshooting-basics) for what to check if it isn't.
