WiFi Signal automatically uses annotations defined in WiFi Explorer or WiFi Explorer Pro 3. If you create an annotation for a network that already has an annotation defined in WiFi Explorer or WiFi Explorer Pro 3, then the annotation in WiFi Signal is used instead.
Annotations created in WiFi Signal are not visible in WiFi Explorer or WiFi Explorer Pro 3.
Add annotations
You can annotate a network by going to WiFi Signal, clicking the gear icon, then choosing Settings > Annotations, and clicking the + button to add a new annotation for a given BSSID. The BSSID field value may include ? or * to match multiple networks to the same annotation. ? will match exactly one character, while * will match zero or more characters. For example, an annotation with BSSID11:22:33:44:55:* will be displayed for networks with BSSIDs 11:22:33:44:55:66 and 11:22:33:44:55:77.
