WiFi Explorer Pro for Windows can display the capabilities and configuration of Wi-Fi networks found in capture files. You can import .pcap and .pcapng capture files.
When you import a capture file, WiFi Explorer Pro for Windows looks for beacon and probe response frames to find Wi-Fi networks and retrieve capability, configuration, and historical signal strength information.
The capture file must include valid Radiotap link-layer (pseudo) header information for WiFi Explorer Pro for Windows to successfully import the file and create a list of scan results for Wi-Fi networks.
Import a capture file
- Go to File > Open.
- Choose the capture file you want to import.
You can also drag & drop a capture file into WiFi Explorer Pro for Windows.
If the capture file doesn’t contain any beacon or probe response frames, then WiFi Explorer Pro for Windows will show no network information.
