The Clients inspector shows information about clients associated to a particular Wi-Fi network. WiFi Explorer Pro 3 finds clients by capturing and parsing 802.11 data and control frames while also scanning for networks.
Client information is not available when using active scan mode.
A list of the columns available in the Clients inspector is shown below: Because WiFi Explorer Pro 3 is hopping between channels when scanning, not all clients might be found, especially if there isn’t client activity when WiFi Explorer Pro 3 is scanning the client’s operating channel. However, the longer the scan runs, the higher the probability for WiFi Explorer Pro 3 to find more clients.
To achieve higher accuracy in client detection, switch to Passive Mode - Single Channel when scanning for networks using your Mac’s built-in Wi-Fi adapter and choose the channel of the network you want to monitor or troubleshoot.
The Networks Table’s Clients column displays the number of associated clients found for each network.
